eBOUND is looking for expressions of interest to fill one volunteer position on our board of directors.
eBOUND’s goal is to advance any publisher’s digital engagement, no matter their level of expertise. Serving as a board director means participating in an organization that is working to ensure publishers are able to increase their digital capacity via digital book distribution, sales, and marketing efforts, alongside advocacy and research efforts.
The eBOUND Canada board of directors includes representatives from a cross-section of publishing companies and other publishing industry stakeholders. Board directors determine policy as well as the organization’s strategic direction, make high-level decisions, and provide guidance to senior management. Board meetings are held quarterly, with remote attendance. At least one day-long meeting (usually) takes place in Toronto per year. Directors are expected to participate in these meetings. Directors based outside of Toronto are reimbursed travel and related expenses. All Directors are elected at eBOUND’s annual general meeting for a term of three years and may be re-elected once to serve a maximum of two consecutive terms.

- Hands-on: Publishing knowledge; strategic planning experience
- Collegial: Strong communication skills; good at building/maintaining interpersonal relationships
