Our Board
The eBOUND Canada board of directors includes representatives from a cross-section of publishing companies and other publishing industry stakeholders.
Board directors determine policy as well as the organization’s strategic direction, make high-level decisions, and provide guidance to senior management.

Brendan Ouellette
Chair
Brendan Ouellette is the digital project manager at Annick Press, a publisher of books for toddlers to teens, where he oversees digital marketing and the production of ebooks, audiobooks, and metadata.

Lindsey Hunnewell
Vice Chair
Lindsey has been obsessed with books since she was a young girl growing up in New Brunswick. She holds a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of King’s College and has worked as a writer, editor, and production assistant for television news and magazines. She has been focussing on accessibility in publishing for the past decade and has launched accessible ebook and audiobook programmes at both trade and scholarly presses. Currently she is the Rights and Special Projects Manager at McGill-Queen’s University Press. In her spare time, you can usually find her at the curling rink or on the dance floor at a swing dance event.

Karen McMullin
Secretary
Karen McMullin is a seasoned publicist and event manager with over 25 years of experience in the Canadian publishing industry. A graduate of the University of Waterloo, McMullin got her start in the industry by working at Words Worth Books, escorting authors such as Edna Staebler and Alistair MacLeod. A graduate of the Centennial College publishing program, with additional certificates in event management from George Brown College, along with Strategic PR, and Marketing, and Digital Marketing Strategies from the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies, she has worked for respected publishers such as Owl Books (now Owlkids), Penguin Group (Canada), Dundurn Press, and now is the national publicist and export manager for Nimbus Publishing.
Karen completed the Spring 2022 cohort of the TAP (Trade Acceleration Program) through the Toronto Board of Trade and World Trade Centre of Toronto and was part of a trade delegation attending the Bogota Book Fair (FILBO) at the end of April 2022. She was a Canadian Fellow at TIFA 2023. A past member of the Board of Directors for the Canadian Children’s Book Centre (2019-2025), she is now the Secretary for the Friends of the Osbourne Collection (TPL), and is an executive member of the Atlantic Publishers Marketing Association.
Jack Illingworth
ACP Executive Director
Jack Illingworth is the Executive Director at the Association of Canadian Publishers (ACP), a national trade association representing more than 120 independent, Canadian-owned book publishers.

Douglas Hildebrand
ACP Board Liaison
Douglas Hildebrand is Director at UBC Press. He previously held roles at University of Alberta Press and University of Toronto Press.

Rina Hadziev
Member
Rina Hadziev is the Executive Director of the British Columbia Library Association. She has over 20 years of experience in public library leadership with a focus on collections, technical services, and accessibility, including serving as the temporary Executive Director of CELA, the Centre for Equitable Library Access in 2019/20.
Duncan Turner
Member
Duncan has worked in book publishing for over 20 years and is Production Editor and Digital Coordinator at University of Alberta Press.
