eBOUND Appoints Krystyna Ross as Interim CEO

TORONTO – July 2, 2013

Rob Sanders, Chair of the Board of eBOUND Canada, announced today that Krystyna Ross has been appointed Interim CEO of eBOUND, the collective organization which represents Canadian Publishers in the dynamic and new world of eBooks. Ms. Ross takes over the reins of the organization as of July 2, 2013, replacing Robert Hayashi who left the organization earlier in the year after helping to bring life to the fledgling organization from its inception in 2011.

Krystyna Ross is a publishing professional with over 20 years of experience in the Canadian industry. She has worked at executive levels with Oxford University Press, McClelland & Stewart, Key Porter and Tundra Books; she has also held senior elected and appointed positions with publishing-related associations including the Association of Canadian Publishers and the Organization of Book Publishers of Ontario, and she is a respected publishing educator.

eBOUND was established in 2011 to assist Canadian publishers enter and succeed in the emerging world of eBooks. With the support of the Department of Canadian Heritage and the Ontario Media Development Corporation, eBOUND offers a slate of services for book publishers, including training and professional development, eBook production and conversion, digital asset management, retail distribution to the now many ebook channels in Canada and around the world, research and development, and special digital projects designed to ensure Canadian publishers and Canadian consumers are able to participate in the eBook world fully and fairly. eBOUND is a project created by the Association of Canadian Publishers.
