Nearly six months after our last Digital Workshop West at Simon Fraser University in March, we're ready to help you level-up your in-house ebook production skills.

Our hands-on digital workshop on November 1 & 2 will feature all-new content, including workshops on how to make fixed-layout and read-along EPUBs for tablets, and how to use tools like GREP and RegEx to improve your efficiency and support your efforts to produce beautiful, bespoke ebooks in house at a fraction of the time. BookNet will cover ebook specific metadata from production through distribution, and we'll talk about how to find the balance between the digital workflow ideal, and what we can do with the tools and time we have right now.

Prerequisites

To get the most out of this workshop, it is best if you have a basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and EPUB. If you attended eBOUND's previous production workshops, you're set. If you need an introduction, or if you would just like a refresher, sign up for our Up-To-Speed Series of webinars before the workshop:

    The cost of the action-packed (and catered!) two-day workshop is $250 per attendee for eBOUND members, and $300 for the public. Travel and accomodation subsidies are available for members coming from outside Vancouver.
